Alisa Y. Gdalina earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies and German from Denison University. She then attended Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School graduating cum laude in 2016.
Prior to joining Newman Law, Alisa was an associate at a national insurance defense firm specializing in professional liability, construction and labor law, and general liability matters. Alisa also practiced at an established in-house law firm for an automobile insurance company handling a large volume of automobile liability cases from inception up to trial. While in law school, Alisa served as a teaching assistant for a Lawyering and Legal Writing Center and a notes editor for the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law. Contemporaneously, she wrote a student note selected to be published in the Journal’s Spring 2016 issue and was one of seven students chosen to participate in Cardozo’s prestigious appellate clinic. Prior to law school, Alisa spent several years working in a legal department of a prominent insurance company gaining a strong financial and business foundation. In addition, Alisa is fluent in Russian.
